10 Easy Weekend DIY Projects

Make An Impact This Spring With Ten Easy DIY Projects
Spring is just around the corner and it is time to make a list of DIY projects and any home repairs you can do on the weekends. We all want our homes and yards to look beautiful and yet still want time to relax, many of these projects are not difficult and can be done in a short time.

Powerwashing
Using a powerwash machine is actually quite simple. A wash will make your areas look new again. The most efficient manner in which to use the wand is to sweep back and forth in relatively small sections.

Driveway
If you have a concrete driveway, washing will clean off all dirt and salt if you live in areas where you get snow. Salt is the white colored lines you will see when the snow or ice melts.

Deck
Virtually everyone has a deck that they sit on and enjoy beautiful weather. Those decks also end up with a build up of dirt throughout the year. There is also logic behind using a powerwash before you put a new coat of stain on your deck. This ensures an even coat of new stain.

Patio
Whether you have a cement patio, a brick patio or a wood patio, these can always use a good cleaning after the winter months.

Landscaping
Landscaping seems to be one of those dreaded chores after a long winter. Unless you are one of the lucky ones who do most of the landscaping duties before the cold sets in.

Thatching
Getting rid of all that dead grass and aerating your lawn is beneficial when done in the spring. When you thatch your lawn, you are giving new grass a chance to grow in.

Annuals
Spring is the time that we plant new annual foliage and improve the look of your yard.

Perennials
Spruce up your perennials by cutting dead areas from the plants. When you utilize perennials in your yard, it cuts back some of the work you need to do each year.

Home Repairs
Spring is a time of renewal, of beginning again. It is also a great time to make some minor home repairs.

Repair leaky faucets
At least once a year you will find you end up with one leaky faucet. This is a perfect time to upgrade or even change those outdated faucets.

Flooring
Did your flooring get scuffed up or torn, cracked or even broken in one or more areas? Take the time and replace the flooring. Changing up the flooring can change the whole ambiance of your home.

Fresh paint
What better time is there than spring to change the old and dull? Use one day to repaint your kitchen or other room that needs freshening up.

House
Now is the time to scrape the old outdoor paint and repaint or put new siding on. If there are window screens that need to be repaired or replaced, do it now.
